More than £8,500 has been raised by ward 17 with the help of The Recovery Project Calderdale and Huddersfield.

The money will  buy equipment for the ward 17 drainage unit for patients who require ascitic drains and can come in for day procedures rather than stay in overnight. This gives them more time to spend with their families and oncology patients requiring drain!

Staff nurse, Emily Wood, said: " This has exceeded all  our expectations."
