At our first Junior Doctors' awards Neeraj Bhasin - the co-host in sunspecs - was jokingly advised " not to give up the day job".

And we're glad he doesn't as it means he will be one of the speakers at our next Schwartz Round onThursday!. (May 23)

The event - at the Learning Centre in CRH - features colleagues talking openly about their work and the pressures it brings. It's a structured, confidential forum where all staff, clinical or non-clinical, come together regularly to discuss the emotional and social aspects of working in healthcare.

This month's is headed "Why I do the job that I do."

We expect other colleagues to be supporting Neeraj. Sharing experiences is one way of supporting each other at work.

Schwartz Rounds were named after an American recognised the healthcare professionals need support to be at their best caring for patients and their families. They are supported by the Point of Care Foundation.

Lunch will be provided between 12.30pm and 1pm when the session will start promptly.

All attendees can claim Contining Professional Development points via their certificate of attendance.
