The Chaplaincy at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is partnering with the Stilbirth and Neonatal Death Service (SANDS) to hold a remembrance service for anyone affected by baby loss during pregnancy or shortly afterwards.

The service will be held in the grounds of Acre House, Acre Street Lindley on Sunday 12th July at 3pm. There is also a chance for people to get together afterwards in the Nightingale public house in Lindley.

Co-ordinating Chaplain George Spencer said: “The service is an opportunity to remember, express our sorrow and seek solace in solidarity with others who have experienced the same sadness. We pledge ourselves to keep memories strong and move forward in hope. We follow the service with a balloon release. All parents and children are welcome to this simple service, compiled by local SANDS group members. And please bring a helium-filled balloon, if you can.”
