Our End of Life Champions are providing such special care and support for our patients.

Here's Andrea Vickerman's selfie of some of our Champions during a training session. Kirsty Collins, pictured bottom left, is a new recruit  to them and here she explains more about herself and why she is drawn to the role.

She said: "I feel everyone should have the best care when it comes to end of life and that they should still have a voice and someone to help and support the family in such a hard time.

"I feel my role is important as I'm the first person the patient see.  So I like to make sure that they have everything they need as soon as they come on the ward and that they feel welcome and know if they need anything all they have to do is ask."

Here's more about Kirsty -  who loves a beach and is her own hero!
