Our Chaplaincy Department has produced a new leaflet promoting support for faith issues and spiritual care thanks to Jayne Moore, wife of former chaplain Stephen, who completed a sponsored cycle ride.

Jayne completed a sponsored cycle run from Land's End to John 'O Groats, and donated the funds raised to the Chaplaincy, in memory of her husband, Stephen.

"I wanted to do something in memory of Stephen (who was a CHFT chaplain and died in 2016), and help a cause close to his heart", Jayne said. "The ride was tough, especially as I fell off on the second day, but there was a good spirit in the team which kept me going."

The publicity card (also available in poster form) has details of chaplaincy services available to people of faith communities on one side and itemises issues of spiritual care on the other. Everybody is welcome to access the Chaplaincy for support.

The poster and cards have been distributed to wards across both hospitals, with cards placed either in lockers or leaflet racks.
