Medical Secretary Anne Crowther has retired after 40 years with us.
She started working at the Royal Halifax Infirmary in 1979 and has worked in both Gastroenterology and Rheumatology over the years and has amassed a wealth of knowledge and supported and trained new staff over that time.
Anne had two leaving dos! One with the Rheumatology team at The Murgatroyd up the road from CRH and one with the medical secretaries down the road at The Watermill.
On her last day, they trimmed up her desk and she brought in a buffet to keep the celebration going!
Consultant Rheumatologist, Dr Omer Sharif, said: ''Thank you for decades of invaluable service. We knew that you were always there to help us. Sad to see you leave. You will be sorely missed! Wishing you a happy retirement''.
Appointments Team Leader, Lida Brambles, said: "Anne always put the patient first. No problem was unresolvable. She always dealt with everything efficiently. and was always good humoured and I have enjoyed working with her".
