Our Head of Frailty, Renee Comerford and Ward Manager Claire Alletson are in preparation for the London Landmarks Half Marathon later this month.

But first things first...they're determined to get to the top of Scammonden Steps without stopping at some point beforehand!

Renee (pictured right) and Claire (left) are being joined by their florist buddy Donna, all with the aim of raising loads of money for Alzheimer's on Sunday 24th March.

Renee said: "There have been lots of laughs during our training, usually because we get lost at some point on route!

"We never usually feel like running and moan round most of the route, complaining that we can't run, but as we finish we all say what a great run we had! And the charity is really close to our hearts as it touches so many people.

The girls will be joining 10,000 runners for this, the second London Landmark Half Marathon, which goes through both the City of London and City of Westminster.

The full London Marathon takes place on Sunday 28th April.

** We'd love to hear your stories - so if you're in training for a big run for charity, as it's very much marathon season, get in touch with Comms so we can share your efforts.

Send your training snaps and info to chft@cht.nhs.uk or call HRI 5253 to talk to us.
