Colleagues across HRI are saddened at the death of our long servicing domestic assistant Janet Cross.

Janet has been with theTrust for 31 years and renowned for always having a smile on her face at work.

Her friend Susan Kilner, said: " She came into work and got on with her job. She rarely had a day off with sickness and even on bad snow days she made it into work. Janet got on well with everyone in the Cleaning Services dept, the Physio dept and Womens Health Unit where she worked."

She was a funny lady making her colleagues laugh and having a cheerful personality. She was generally a quiet lady, keeping herself to herself and didn't have a bad word to say about anyone."

Physiotherapist Heather Moffat, said: "The Physio and Occupational Therapy dept at HRI are really saddened by this news. Janet cleaned our dept for 30 years and was our regular cleaner. She worked in the shop Iceland and then came up to HRI to clean for us, so she was a hard worker.

"She was always here, never off sick, always smiling. She had many tales of how things had been over the years and stories about  various Therapy managers she had come into contact with. We used to laugh about some of their specific regimes and odd requests. Whatever Janet was presented with she would have just got on with it, but she would have had a little smile on her face! She will be missed."
