A new Bowel Care Policy for adults age 16 years and above is on the policies and documents library. It has been designed to guide clinicians in managing the safe, effective management of bowel care issues, especially as many patients present complex challenges.
There is important information contained within it in relation to serious medical alerts issued by NHS Safety / Improvement - so please make sure you know where to find the policy if you are involved in bowel care.

A full day Bowel Training course is on offer for anyone who needs to update their knowledge and skills.
