Stuck on what to buy this Valentine's Day? Or maybe you're looking to treat yourself?

Ward 20 may be able to help you get in the good books this year as they are looking to raise funds to make the ward more homely.

Over recent weeks the ward has been converting some of their rooms into spaces for communal areas for both male and female patients.

To help with the improvements they are running a Valentine's Day themed hamper raffle, with prizes including chocolates, wine, cuddly toys, toiletries and much more!

The new areas are being used for engagement, dining and offering a warming sense of home to the patients - as you'll see in the photo. So far it has been very effective and beneficial for patient’s wellbeing and stimulation.

Ward manager, Amy Scholes, said: " We want all the day rooms on ward 20 to feel more homely, rather than just another hospital room. So that’s why all the raffle proceeds will be used to help turn spaces into calming and peaceful rooms to be used by any patient".

The funds raised will help towards some home furniture such as sofas, lamps and other home comforts.

If you want to buy a raffle ticket you can visit Ward 20 at HRI. The cost is £1 a strip.

Winners will be drawn on Monday 11th February.
