The gloves came off for our Decorate a Xmas Tree competition last week...and our estates gardeners at HRI Dave Knapton and Gary Lemal studied all the entries before deciding their winner.....

....which was the A&E tree at CRH - "handily" created by HCAs Simone Leslie and Ruth Heneghan who are based in the ED at CRH working nights.

Dave, said: "The glove tree stood out from the crowd as it was clearly a hospital Xmas tree, though we need to make sure no hedgehogs go near it!

"It was great to be asked to judge the trees - it really brought a smile to our faces".

** Oh and retired staff nurse Jackie Ellam even came in to dress the pre-op assessment tree at HRI (see slide 11 below).
