Our  fabulous Stroke Care Team have excelled this Christmas was a fabulous - half a tree - in Halifax Minster.

Topped by a sparkly brain the 12ft whopping tree looked amazing and also was spreading the Act FAST message.  (Face, Arm, Speech and Time - the four keystones on stroke recongnition and prevention).

The tree was the ward's way of showing that strokes mainly affect half the human body, and the majority of the decorations have been handmade by our patients, staff volunteers and friends. Their idea was also discussed on Radio Leeds.

The team originally only suggested a 6ft tree, though the team at Halifax Minster were so impressed they upgraded it to a 12ft one!

The teddies are legendary and have previously been globe-trotting spreading the Act FAST message. The Nativity scene is a cracker and made by XX.
