Our Datix Team have been out and about floor-walking, and setting up shop at lunchtimes for colleagues keen to learn more about how to raise incidents.

Dr Beatrix Langara (3rd from left) and Incident Manager, Naheed Razzaq (5th from left) have been welcomed by all staff in all areas they've visited so far - with more sessions planned. Colleagues have been asking questions and sharing more about their experience of incident reporting. Naheed will take the feedback to see what issues can be address to improve Datix for the future.

Beatrix and Naheed appreciated everyone who took the time to speak to them - and the most common questions asked so far have been:

Can I report an incident?

Yes, everyone can report an incident - you can do that here, or from the homepage of the intranet

Will I receive any feedback when I report an incident?

Yes, we ensure everyone receives meaningful feedback when they report an incident.  If the investigation is going to take longer we aim to provide feedback to the reporter initially to inform them of the progress of the incident and also the outcome when the incident is closed

Do more incidents being reported, mean my area is less safe?

No, in fact the more incidents you report means there is a good safety culture within your area

The team will be running two more sessions this month: CRH Monday 17th December, and HRI Wednesday 19th December - near or in restaurants - 12.00 to 2pm..

If you have any thoughts or feedback about Datix, and can't get to the lunchtime events, you can also fill in a survey online. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LF8QSGZ
