Kevin’s job isn’t different every day – it’s different every hour!

And he should know as he’s been at our Trust for more than 45 years. At judging he brought with him eight different uniforms to demonstrate all the different roles he masters.

Catering, portering, car parking to name just three roles for the Trust’s “Superman”.

“Where’s Kev” resounds around his department and his nominator Khalisah Hussain said he was her “go to” person.

She said: “He always see a job through and always gives his best. He blows me away. His skills and knowledge of our facilities and the Trust in general is amazing “.

She likened him to Superman, joking: “He has so many uniforms he should have his own telephone box!” (to change into a new uniform)

Kev, said humbly: “Doing so many roles, helps me to understand the challenges my colleagues are facing. The variation and being able to so many different things for our patients and colleagues makes my job very special to me – and always has done.”

Kevin had already booked a holiday in Lanzarote and couldn’t change or get his money back to enable him to attend so Khalisa - pictured - picked it up for him.

Judges’ comments included: “ People who see beyond their job titles and roles are what make the NHS great. This person has clearly dedicated themselves to the 'calling' of working for the NHS and goes above and beyond on a daily basis.”

Finalists: Laurie Beckett for being an all-rounder in WOD; Mark Bushby for dedication to Workforce Business Intelligence.
