Yorkshire Fertility (YF) and their partners have made it much easier for their patients to access YF’s brilliant services.

Now, with patients from right across West Yorkshire, they have introduced virtual appointments reducing the need for time out to travel in heavy traffic, parking, being away from work, organising childcare and so on and all the extra costs.

Fertility appointments can sometimes be sensitive, which is not always aided by the added challenges of physically travelling to, and attending appointments.

YF had a vision of delivering more meaningful, accessible and convenient consultations for its patients.  And so the idea of developing a hybrid clinic offering remote virtual patient consultations was born and this has transformed the delivery of clinical consultations.

A great benefit of this is that there is really no difference to being physically present in the clinic; from arrival to waiting, to the consultation, to leaving; everything remains the same and mirrors the physical patient journey.

Audits since September show an extremely positive patient feedback.

The team now have confidence in the system and do not delay in offering the service to patients wherever appropriate.

Among the judges’ comments: “ This significantly improves the whole process for the patient, putting them at ease and not turning an appointment into an event.”
