The thyme has come...join us to cook up some recipes for CHFT's continuing success.

On December 7th we're holding an event with a recipe theme to lettuce bring colleagues together to share their ideas about how we can improve.

This year we've involved colleagues in key areas of focus here at CHFT, like our hothouse events and our tea-rounds.

On 7th December we'll look to bring all these elements together in a single Organisational Development Strategy - and we're inviting interested colleagues to come along and get involved.

Ruth Mason, Associate Director of Organisational Development said "At its heart, the strategy is about bringing the best out of our colleagues, which in turn impacts the compassionate care we deliver to our patients. Put simply - if we feel great about working here it shines through the work we do every day here at CHFT."

As well as running a series of events to look at key areas such as apprentices, wellbeing and equality and diversity, we’ve also been having a series of conversations with colleagues over a cuppa on a tea trolley round.

These conversations will help to create the content for each section of the strategy.  Each section will be a ‘recipe card’ explaining the result, the reality and the response (or the finished ‘dish’ the key ‘ingredients’ and the ‘cooking method’).

Some of our recipes include:

  • Recruitment
  • Retention
  • Training
  • Leadership Development
  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Colleague Engagement
  • Corporate Social Responsibility
