There's just 10 weeks to go now as the NHS 70th year approaches its end. Throught this fab year we've featured a different  CHFT colleague and role and thanks for all the lovely feedback.

This week it's Laura Dyson-Jones' turn from HR. She came to work here after being so impressed with the care her Mum had received from us.

How long have you work in the NHS and what do you do?

I have worked in the recruitment team for just under two years. I started as an apprentice and I am also the face behind the New Starter Information Pack which  is handed out at the new Corporate inductions.

What makes its special for you?

I recently lost my mum to cancer. She was a regular visitor to the Greenlea Unit and they were amazing with my mum and me the last two years. Seeing how the staff on the unit worked encouraged me to actually apply for a job at CHFT.

Have you a special present/wish for the NHS?

My gift would be for everyone to have time for tea and cake. It is a birthday after all!

* Do you want to  make your special tribute to the NHS?  or do you know someone who's a bit of a legend and worked here for years who'd be perfect on the screensavers. Then answer the questions like Laura did and send your answers to us chft@cht.nhs.uk and we'll do the rest. In particular, any nurses or HCAs.
