Fancy a challenge? The Overgate's next event might light your fire! They are holding a Firewalk in aid of the hospice on Saturday 13th October. There will be training too. Read on for more info and how to get involved as you'll have to register in advance and pledge to raise money for the hospice.

The fee per person is £30, including a pledge to raise £150 for Overgate.

Participants will undergo training which focuses on risk, fear and technique. This is conducted by two times Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell, and will last one hour. You will be taken out of your comfort zone for sure!

It is also a great personal development tool to look at challenges and how to overcome them. Once the training is complete and the fire has burned to red hot embers, it is raked level and prepared for the walk. Participants then go to the fire, remove their footwear and one-by-one are invited to walk the coals, which is about 12 ft.

You will need to register prior to the event, when you will receive a sponsor pack.
