A student who spent 12 weeks on placement with our Dietetics Team has scooped an award for being outstanding - and dedicated it to her temporary CHFT colleagues.

She emailed them to tell them her good news and delighted them all.

Vicki Blake, wrote: “Thought I best share with you that I was given the post graduate award from the Yorkshire Briitish Dietetic Association for outstanding placement performance at graduation.  As  you all contributed towards moulding me to where I’m at now, it’s basically partly your award too”.

Team coordinator, Karen Turkington, said they recognised a future star in their midst.

She said: "Vicki was a very good student. She had good communications and good rapport and good knowledge. If she didn't know something she had the initiative to research and come back and she had very very good relations. The fact she has got back in touch with us and made the effort is lovely, too."

The team hosts three students a year from the Nutrition and Dietetics course at Leeds University and they care for patients in our hospitals and in community during their time with us.
