Here at Comms Towers we love receiving news about our colleagues' achievements both at work - and in their down-time.
So we loved the tip-off from Lorna Gill's colleague Jonathan Bray about her amazing athletics successes.
She's currently the West Yorkshire Track and Field League Champion after topping the table this athletics season and will receive her trophy next month. She's already created headlines in the Halifax Courier - see our montage.
Here's more about her:
How did you get into athletics?
"At school I ran cross country and hated it, but I always got selected for the team. I have slowly reduced distance and now won't run further than 200m. I enjoy competing in short sprints and horizontal jumps and have been for the past 10 years.
What's you best for the 100m & Long Jump?
12.5 seconds 100m.
5.32 meters long jump
Is there any event you don't like?
Anything over 200m (even that's a push) but 400 metres has to be the worst. It's horrible - too far and painful!"
Have you a hero?
Dina Asher-Smith is doing pretty good this season. She was amazing at the Europeans. (Dina - see attached - is a British sprinter and won three gold medals and the recent European Championships).
Have you ever been injured?
Yes, a week before my 18th birthday and a week before I was due to fly out to Cyprus for warm weather training with the GB long jump squad. I pulled my hamstring half way through a 200m in Wakefield and cried it was so painful. It took a long time to fully recover, I still struggle psychologically with the 200m.
Are you superhealthy?
People that know me would say so. I have a degree in Nutrition so its just second nature. I believe everything in moderation - in terms of food and drink. Nothing is barred.
What's good about exercising?
" It generally makes you feel better about yourself and I also enjoy the social side. I train two or three times a week - especially in the run-up to a competition."
How would you describe your role at CHFT?
"I've been here in Microbiology two and a half years and find my work very interesting. I enjoy working behind the scenes, its good place to work. My colleagues are very supportive."
