Our Investors in People assessment is underway - and the first survey stage closes a week tomorrow (Friday 10th August). The assessors need as many responses back as possible to rate us - hopefully pushing us to silver this time around, so if you've had your email from them please take a few minutes to fill it in.
This year’s assessment should be finished in October. It's all based on staff feedback through either an online survey or face-to-face meetings with staff through interviews and focus groups.
If you’re asked to take part, or receive an email please get involved and be honest with your answers! This will help us understand what we’re doing well and how we can improve.
The IIP will send three reminders too, so another reason to fill it in. Please don't share the link as it's unique to you.
Interviews and focus groups will also be taking place - here's a reminder of what will happen:
- The assessor randomly selects around sixty people to take part in interviews and focus groups, probably around the end of August or early September
- This year the assessment will focus primarily on colleagues from Community, Estates and Facilities & Medicine, though staff from other directorates may also be included.
- These discussions will be carried out between Thursday 6th and Tuesday 18th September and help the assessor gain a deeper insight into our culture and the consistency of our processes.
- They will ask questions relating to themes such as your job role, your training, communication, leadership and reward & recognition. They also seek your views on how you contribute to the Trust’s business objectives.
- The process is completely confidential - although the assessor will be reporting back his overall findings, he will not attribute any of his findings to individual colleagues.
If you are selected our Associate Director of Organisational Development, Ruth Mason will contact you to let you know the time and location of your interview or focus group - this is likely to be early September. If, in the meantime, you would like any further clarification, please give Ruth a call on 07786 250892.
