Our Kevin Pollard has survived a Tough Mudder trial for Alzheimer's Society.
Our FM Services Delivery Co-ordinator, completed it with a group of friends where some of the team members' families had been affected by the condition.
He said: " The hardest bit was the climbs! If you were male you had to be careful when swinging over at the top not to leave any sensitive parts behind!!"
He ended up with "bloody knees and a few bruises" after the event at Broughton Hall, near Harrogate after completing it in about 2.5 hours approximately.
He added: " Serves me right for mud sliding at my age!"
The team spirit around the course made it extra special, he said. "Everyone seemed to be laughing all the way round which was strange considering all the mud, water, rain, obstacles etc"
And the best bit? "A long soak and a brandy afterwards!"
