Long-serving Rose Hagreen is our latest colleague to send Happy Birthday wishes to the NHS in its 70th year. She was "paid to play" starting as a nursery nurse and now heads up our eRostering for nursing and midiwifery.

How long have you been in the NHS and what attracted you to it. I started in the trust in August 1985 so have completed 33 years’ service. My initial role was as Nursery Nurse on Arthur & Ada Ward at Halifax Royal Infirmary. The attraction was my role enable me to make a difference to children, young people & their families experience of the hospital environment ( and I got paid to play J).  Throughout the years the attraction that has kept me at CHFT is the diversity of job opportunities & support available to allow me to develop into the role of Head of eRostering for Nursing & Midwifery which are currently hold

 

What makes the NHS special to you?The NHS has been a big part of my life both professional and personal life. The special ingredient is the care and compassion you see daily whether in a work capacity or managing a personal crisis.

 

What present would you buy it?  Equality across all Healthcare organisations  in relation to facilities, drugs and services. This shouldn’t be different depending on where you live.
