Gillian started as a student radiographer in September 1976 and qualified in 1979. She went onto become and Advanced Practitioner Radiographer in Breast Imaging.

She spent her whole career with the Trust. Her leaving do consisted of a walk in the Holmfirth area, followed by a get together in Hepworth Village Hall with current and ex-colleagues for a chat and catch up

Her gifts included handbags, cow and calf bronze, jewellery and a Radley purse with some money which Gillian is putting towards a pair of binoculars.

Ann Fryer, Radiolody admin manager said "Gillian was dedicated, hardworking and professional at work. Always making us all laugh with her dry sense of humour and very witty personality.

"Gillian was always prepared for anything, especially when it snowed. On numourous occassions she slept on the couch in the staff room to make sure she was in for work the next morning.

"Gillian was definitely the 'master of ceremonies', and everyone who retired before her went out with a bang, so I hope we've done her justice!"
