Well done. Jackie. She was one of the team at the forefront of our EPR switchover and it's just been announced she's through to the finals of the national Digital Health Awards 2018!
Currently our interim Chief Nurse, Jackie was Deputy Nursing Director (Modernisation) during our EPR switchover, and has been nominated in the Chief Nurse Information Officer (CNIO) category. Paediatrician Alistair Morris, her EPR colleague and the Trust’s clinical lead for EPR secretly nominated her.
She was recognised for the “exemplary” role she played when the Trust went live with its Cerner EPR system. She is up against Kevin Percival, CNIO at Frimley Health Foundation Trust, nominated for being a “role model” for digital transformation and Angela Reed, senior professional officer, Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council, who was recognised for being an “outstanding” leader.
The peer-voted awards will be presented at the networking dinner at the Digital Health’s Summer Schools, Birmingham, 19 July.
Ninety nominations were made across six categories. The CNIO of the year is sponsored by Nervecentre.
An expert panel of judges created a shortlist. They were James Reed, CCIO, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust; Jo Dickson, CNIO, Nuffield Health; Stephen Docherty, CIO, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust; Luke Redman, CIO Waltham Forest, Newham and Tower Hamlets CCG; John Farenden, vice chair, Strategy for the BCS Health and Care; and Lisa Emery, CIO, West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust
