Amost 300 people give their time for free at CHFT working as volunteers across our sites. So next week's Volunteer Week is a great opportunity for us to say a huge thank you. And the lovely team at Hadfields' Bakery have come up trumps by providing a scrummy bun for each volunteer.
Volunteer & work experience co-ordinator Anya Macbeth told CHFT Weekly "It's fantastic so many people are willing to volunteer here at our Trust. Whether it's to work in our League of Friends Shop, helping people find their way around our hospitals or coming to sit and talk to patients - they're all amazing!"
We have volunteers ranging from age 18, to our oldest Lily Lister at 91 who works in the chaplaincy. They give up any amount of their valuable time, and one volunteer John Dickinson travels from Brighouse to ward 7bc seven days a week! Read more about him next week.
