The NHS70 birthday celebrations and events are in full swing, and almost 300 parkruns across the UK will take on an NHS theme on Saturday 9th June to celebrate this special birthday. And you could be joining the crowds by walking, jogging, running or even volunteering on the day.
If you go along please take some photos and we'll cover them in CHFT Weekly as part of the birthday celebrations.
Huddersfield have signed up to the birthday parkrun. Read more about how to get involved here.
Parkruns are free, 5k events that take place in hundreds of locations across the UK every Saturday morning. They are coordinated entirely by volunteers and are open to walkers and runners of all ages and abilities.
The runs take place every Saturday at 9am in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield. The course is 5km. See the Huddersfield page here.
Halifax also have a parkrun - at time of press they had not signed up to the NHS 70 run.
