Our pressure mattresses help us care for patients with pressure ulcers, or those at risk of developing them. They are in high demand across our Trust and if there is a delay in patients getting the equipment they need, it could potentially result in patient harm.
Jenni Garlick and David Berry from our tissue viability team co-ordinate the equipment. Their role is to make sure the mattresses are stored, maintained and used correctly. This equipment includes static, hybrid, dynamic air mattresses as well as hire dynamic air mattresses.
