Ding dong the wedding bells were ringing!
As is tradition CHFT colleagues went to town for the Royal bash last Saturday to ensure everyone got into the mood. We imagine NHS 70 fever will have a similar - or even bigger - effect on Thursday July 5.
On the wedding day the following wards were among those flying the flag, and we've tried to include them all in the photo collage.
* All of the stroke wards at CRH joined together in the 7BC dayroom to watch the wedding. All enjoying strawberries, meringue, clotted cream and cakes. Visitors, patients and relatives all loved to see the ward decorated to celebrate.
* Ward 20 at HRI held a tea party for patients.
Ward manager Amy Scholes, said: " All the ladies went into the day room while most of the gents on the ward had a snooze instead. The ladies all loved it saying it was so special. They were all very excited for the scones and cream and cucumber sandwiches. As well as the buffet they 'partied' into the night and all said the Lord's Prayer. Despite some of the men on the ward not being too bothered they happily ate the goodies.
"It was just really lovely to do something for them since we've moved from CRH. We used to do stuff like this for them all the time so it's just been lovely."
* LDPR had a cake with Union flags to celebrate the day.
