Andre Mitchell  is now a recruitment assistant after coming up through the apprentice scheme. He's the latest colleague to feature in our year-long NHS 70 celebration.  Here's his thoughts and if you want to join him in the campaign then answer the questions and email them to chft@cht.nhs.uk and we'll do the rest.

Andre, how long have you worked in the NHS and what is your role, what is your favourite bit?

I’ve worked in the NHS for 1 year and a half. My role was an Apprentice Admin Assistant but now I’m a Recruitment Assistant. My favourite bit about my role is that I meet interesting and diverse people, who play a key role within the NHS

What makes the NHS special to you?

It’s special because it gave me and other people the opportunity to be part of the apprenticeship scheme and now I enjoy the role that I’m in.

What birthday present would give it?

I’d give the NHS lots of enthusiastic apprentices, keen to make an impression
