Would you like to be more involved in improving our services by becoming a staff governor?

We have vacancies on our Council of Governors (CoG, and previously the membership council) for colleagues representing nurses/midwives, ancilliary staff and AHPs. Elections for these will be held in June.

The CoG is the body that, amongst other things, helps to influence the strategic direction of the Trust. It is the Council’s duty to hold the Board to account for its actions, and govenors meet regularly with Board members and senior managers across the divisions/directorates to discuss work going on around the Trust, new developments and quality issues.

There are 28 seats on the Council and these are made up of six staff seats, 16 public seats and six nominated stakeholder seats from partner organisations

If you are interested or want to find out more, contact the Membership Office on  x7342 at HRI or email membership@cht.nhs.uk. Also see more information on the intranet here  http://intranet.cht.nhs.uk/non-clinical-information/membership/staff-membership/

We are holding two briefing sessions for anyone interested: Monday, April 23rd between 6-7 pm at the Learning Centre at CRH, and Wednesday, April 25th between 6-7 pm in the Board Room at HRI.

If you would like to come along please email the Membership Office as above.
