From the 1st April 2018 our Continence Service will be renamed The Calderdale Bladder & Bowel Service.

We see patients from the age of four for any bladder or bowel related issue, so the change reflects the services we offer and also the national picture for continence.

Typical patients or conditions we see include:

Any form of leakage from bladder or bowel; Urgency ;Frequency ;Retention ;Incomplete emptying ; Inability to control effective bladder or bowel emptying ; Enuresis ; Chronic constipation ;Chronic diarrhoea ; Complex catheters ; ISC / ISD ; Pelvic floor dysfunction ; Painful bladder syndrome / interstitial cystitis and Recurrent UTIs

Referrals can be made via referral forms on our intranet pages, electronically via our NHS email account or by telephone. Patients can refer to us directly as well. We cover the Calderdale GP community as well as inpatients in HRI and CRH.
