We've had some lovely comments over the years for all areas, but this, which come in for 7c really does takes some beating.

The writer is so pleased he reckons he's reserved a "place in Heaven" (eventually) for all the staff on there as he sees them as "guardian angels".

He writes: "Every single one of you should swell with pride at the magnificent job you do. Not just for me but for every single patient you come into contact with that I have witnessed with my own eyes."

Ward manager, Lisa Wilkinson, said "The team are really proud to have made such an impact on our patient's life. As a ward we really do put all our emphasis on patient care and  how we can impact on their lives. We always go above and beyond for our patients and their relatives because it's our responsibilty."

Dear Angels of the night, morning and every hour in between on 7C.

Unfortunately I cannot be here to say goodbye in person. However, I can leave you this little epistle to record my eternal gratitude to you all for the superb care and attention you have afforded me over the past disconcerting nights.

I have never had to stay in hospital for more than a couple of hours before this traumatic incident. And you have all played your part in making it as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Your happy manner, your professionalism and dedication are a massive credit to you all and Halifax hospital should shout your praises from every rooftop in Calderdale.

Every single one of you should swell with pride at the magnificent job you do, not just for me but for every single patient you come into contact with that I have witnessed with my own eyes. Halifax, Huddersfield and all its surrounding areas can rest peaceful in the knowledge that, should any misfortune befall them and they should receive hospitalisation, your guardian angels will be on hand to give them the best compassion and succour found to none!

My only regret is that I am not here to tell you this in person, but believe me, when I tell you this is a heartfelt commendation to you all.
