The Macmillan Cancer Information Service attended a Health Fair at Crossley Heath School in Halifax.

Mandy Davies, the assistant cancer information manager for the service, attended the event with one of the Information service Volunteers Barbara Rogers.  A range of information such as signs and symptoms of cancer was taken from the stand and more than 50 goody bags with information about prevention and awareness of cancer were given to the pupils.

The event was attended by more than 180 Year 9 pupils to raise awareness about the different health and support services available within their local community.

It was organised by the Year 12 pupils from the school along with the support of teachers Jane Rudman and Lucy Sutcliffe.

The Cancer Information Service is hoping to attend the future events planned by the school.
