Our hospitals  - alongside a host of celebrities - have been backing this year's Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.

We have stalls in both our entrances offering advice and support through until Sunday to ensure more women know how they can reduce their risk of cervical cancer. The campaign was targetting younger women as around half a million young women aged 25-29 did not attend for their screening last year.

Melanie Matthews, pictured,  who is the cancer care co-ordinator for the gynaecology team. said:  " Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women under 35.  The impact of cervical cancer can last a life time. Do not put it off,  the test takes minutes! Book your free smear test TODAY."
