Our new intranet goes live next Wednesday 24 January, with loads of new and improved features to help colleagues find the information they need more quickly and easily. Plus colleagues will still be able to see the current site with a link from the front page.

Here's a quick overview - but you can see more information about each section and what's changing on our new intranet welcome page.

• We have a brand new policies and documents library - where all our Trust documents will sit*
• Information is stored in logical sections rather than based on the structure of the trust
• All training information is stored in one area - no more wondering where to go to go to to look for information
• Improved search - we've added some new features similar to Google
• New clickable banners (you don't have to wait for them to come around!)
• Improved phonebook

And all the main links you're used to, like Webmail, the phone book, Datix and logging jobs are on the homepage.

Colleagues will access clinical and non-clinical systems via the desktop - see the icons below (this will be rolled out to tap and go computers before go-live). This is because the systems are run independantly of the intranet.

* We're working on loading the policies now. We'll make sure the most commonly accessed policies will be loaded for go-live. In the meantime you'll still be able to see them all on the old site.
