This is a picture of the children’s play are in orthopaedic outpatients at HRI. 

Orthopaedic outpatients cares for children on fracture clinics throughout the week and also hosts a specialist children’s orthopaedic clinic on Fridays with a visiting consultant Ms Deriu from LGI.

Children in the orthopaedic clinic can undergo procedures which may be unpleasant so we have a variety of toys and other distractions to help them. 

Staff nurse Carolyn Walker organised her friend Lindsay Gallagher to decorate the children’s play area with an interactive owl design - which she has very kindly done free of charge  -   so the children attending these clinics will have additional entertainment whilst waiting to see the doctor or undergo procedures.
