There's a little teaser this week in CHFT Weekly - to hail a special year for us all at CHFT.
We're asking which one of the above is the odd one out? The answer is they all turn 70 this year except one of them who's a bit older. Answer at the bottom.
July 5 is the actual day the NHS turns 70 and here at CHFT we're planning a celebration all year long.
Throughout this year we will be featuring colleagues telling us what the NHS means to them and what birthday present they would buy the NHS. They will then appear on a birthday screensaver for a week.
We start today with our Chairman Andrew Haigh - famous for his passion for staff and patients (and those ties!).. (see attached). Here's his thoughts and we look forward to featuring colleagues from many other areas of the Trust throughout the year
We asked Andrew three short questions:
How long have you worked in the NHS and what have you enjoyed? Just over 7 years
Sum up what the NHS means to you in a sentence? Dedicated people doing an unbelievable job for their fellow human beings
What special wish/present would give to celebrate the NHS’s platinum birthday and why? Sorry I’m going to have two. An ability to effect change at pace. And the whole of the health and social care system to operate seamlessly as one. These may well be two sides of the same coin!! Why – because it’s an absolute imperative that we do this.
If you would like to be involved at some point this year (and didn't feature in our Advent Countdown 2017) then please answer the following questions and email them back into us: CHFT@cht.nhs.uk for inclusion. We would need a photo of you which Comms is happy to arrange after receving your words..
** the answer is Arnie as all the others turn 70 this year. He turns 71!
