We know our switchboard has moved on since the old PO days.... but there are still times when it gets very, very busy.

At these times, it would help our switchboard teams if colleagues can, where possible, contact wards and departments directly. 

The team take around 4000 calls per day, so your support will mean people who need to get through urgently should wait for less time for their call to be answered.
