Colleagues with December payroll queries have until tomorrow (Friday 22 December) to discuss them with payroll.

The ESR system will be completely shut down on Wednesday 27 December until the New Year.

What does this mean for me or my colleagues?

  • Colleagues paid monthly will be paid tomorrow Friday 22 December 2017.   Because of the Christmas shutdown and holidays, we are encouraging colleagues to look at their pay slips in advance.
  • Colleagues who worked bank shifts during the week of 4 December 2017 will be paid for these tomorrow too
  • Colleagues who worked bank shifts during the week of 11 December 2017 will be paid for these on Friday 29 December 2017.  As ESR will be unavailable, the payroll team will be unable to resolve queries until after 2 January 2018, which is when the on-line pay slip will also be available. Paper pay slips will be distributed as usual.
  • No e-learning can be carried out during the whole shut-down period.
  • Colleagues and managers will not be able to book annual leave or record sickness on ESR during this time.  Sickness absence which occurs during the shut-down period must be recorded in chronological order after 2 January 2018.   Annual leave can be recorded once the access to the system is restored.

What are we doing to help?

  • Online pay slips for monthly paid staff were made available last Monday 18th December and a screensaver went up on the same day
  • We recommend contacting payroll before midday on 22 December 2017 with any queries. Once ESR is switched off, queries will not be resolved until after Tuesday 2 January 2018
