Our new-born babies' tongue-tie care is through a national Royal College of Midwives (RCM) final.
Marilyn Rogers and Louise Brookes have been shortlisted for the RCM's JOHNSON'S® Award for Excellence in Maternity Care. They have previously won the top award at our own Celebrating Success finals - see photo attached.
Tongue-tie involves a tiny snip into skin under the tongue which is preventing movement.
Chief Executive of the Royal College of Midwives, Gill Walton, said: “The standard of entries has been extremely high so to get this far is an outstanding achievement. It shows how much innovation there is in our maternity services, and how hard midwives, maternity support workers and the wider maternity team are working to deliver the safest and best possible care. I wish Marilyn and Louise the best of luck at the awards ceremony in March.”
