Earlier this month we tested 32 people as part of our drop-in screening day for  public and staff for Mouth Cancer Awareness  Month.

Of them, three needed further investigating.  Nationally, 7,000 people were diagnosed with mouth cancer in the UK last year.

We also had a manned  display set up in the main entrance at HRI where the staff discussed the signs and symptoms of mouth cancer with our visitors.

The department held a raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses in Lindley which raised £60.

 A cake sale was held on 16th November with a large choice of home-made cakes on offer mainly made by our great British bakers Emily & Rosa. All sold out within 3 hours and we raised almost £300.
