The clinical skills and simulation team are again calling on kind-hearted colleagues at CHFT for their support. In it's second year, our Kindness Box collection is all about making Christmas for our elderly and vulnerable patients as pleasant as possible.

Trust lead for skills and simulation Angela Hope and Caren Reid Technician jointly told CHFT Weekly. "We tried this for the first time last year and it was really well received. We collected around 50 boxes and packages. This year we're a little more co-ordinated and just have one drop-off point for all the boxes at each hospital so it's easier. Hopefully we'll beat last year's figure too - we're aiming for 100."

What can go in the boxes?

Gloves, scarves, hand warmers, toiletries, nice smellies etc, as well as some wrapped goodies like chocolate, Christmas cake, baking.

Please mark the box in case patients are diabetic/coeliac etc.

The boxes are for older or vulnerable people in our hospitals, so no toys thank you.

Boxes will be distributed throughout the Trust.

Drop off point:Learning and Development Centre Reception at HRI & CRH.

Please drop your boxes off by Friday 15th December so we can arrange to have them distributed.

All the info is in the poster attached.
