The annual National Staff Survey 2017 closes next Friday 1 December and more than 37% of colleagues have already given their views. This week Owen presented his second personal charity donation to Different Strokes on behalf of information analyst Oliver Hutchinson and the team at THIS - keen to give something back to the charity who have supported a colleague in the team.

Owen pledged the money to teams of 10 who had completed their appraisal, had a 'flu jab and also completed the annual National Staff Survey.

The survey and reminders will have come from National NHS Staff Survey 2017. All responses are anonymous and nobody at CHFT sees individual answers to any questions.

So far Health Informatics are leading the way in responding to the survey with more than six out of 10 colleagues responding. Here are the response rates as at last night:

Different Strokes is the only UK charity specialising in stroke in working age adults and in children and provides information resources and support groups to younger stroke survivors and their families.   The team selected it in support of colleague Simon Beeley, third left. He said: "On a personal level the information and support I received from Different Strokes following my stroke aged just 39 really helped me to adjust to my new life.  It helped me to feel much less isolated and realise that there are lots of people of comparable age facing and overcoming similar challenges."
