Representatives from both of Huddersfield’s Sikh Temples met in the Hope Centre at HRI for the annual Prayer for the Hospital earlier this month.

This comprises traditional chanting and prayers led by the priest, with the intention of spreading blessings and wellbeing for both patients and staff.

The Trust’s Honorary Chaplain, Mr Harbinder Singh, welcomed the participants and thanked them for their support over the years.

The event ended a little dramatically with one of the gentlemen being taken ill, but we are pleased to say after a medical attention and a visit to our Emergency Department he was able to go home.

Finger food brought up from the temples was shared in the foyer after the prayers, and appreciated by staff and visitors.
