Hello my name is…  

Louise Croxall and I live in Barkisland with my husband and two children who are seven and five. I enjoy spending time with my family and going on holiday. My dad lives in Huddersfield and my mum lives in Malton and I enjoy spending time over there and going to the east coast for day trips.  My favourite season is autumn. I love shopping and my favourite items to buy are shoes and handbags.

Summarise your career background

I qualified as a nurse in October 2000. I worked for a year at St James in Leeds on a Neurology ward and then I transferred to Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust on an Accident and Emergency and Trauma Orthopaedic Rotation. I completed this 18 month programme and then carried on my career in Accident and Emergency at Bradford where I was for 16 years.

What is the highlight of your career so far?

I loved being a band 6 sister in ED. I got managerial experience, but still was able to work a lot clinically.

Who is your hero?

Gary Barlow

When you are not at work how do you relax?
Spending time with my family and friends. I love going to the seaside and having a walk on the beach. I love the British seaside in the winter.

What is your favourite place?

England – Whitby

World – Singapore/ Bali

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I received a medal for skiing when I was younger and got asked to be a ski instructor. Wish I had pursued this and taken time off uni.
