A community church group has been hands-on and made a wonderful piece of artwork to our children's ward and outpatients clinic.

Our play team member Becki Field who showed the church around the ward and she is pictured with two of the children who helped to produce it.

It is called ‘Rainbow Hands’ and was made at the  Church of Latter Day Saints' ‘Primary Fun Day’ where approximately 120 children attended.

The Church of Latter Day Saints was  established in Huddersfield in 1922 and has grown in surrounding areas such as Halifax, Dewsbury, and Wakefield. Children aged 18 months to 12 years old  attend the church's Primary organisation and they run a Sunday school to teach 8-12 year olds and run an activity twice a month, called Faith in God.

After their tour of our children's ward, Kuldip Flynn, said: " We were very impressed with how child-friendly everything is from a stimulating environment to displays such as the ‘10 Steps to Theatre.’ We seen equipment parents have donated and we are going to help by asking members of our church to donate approved equipment in the future. A trip was enjoyed very much indeed."
