Kirklees Safeguarding Week

Will be returning for a second year as part of the West Yorkshire-wide Safeguarding Week. The full programme is attached and is available to view on the KSCB website.

There will be market stalls at the launch event(info below) around the safeguarding team for adults and children to promote what we do as a trust to safeguard our patients as well as a stall on community services and delirum prevention.

They will be various sessions organised throughout the week at both hospital and community sites, facilitated by the safeguarding on human trafficking, modern day slavery, domestic abuse, older people abuse, adults that self-neglect, Female genital mutilation, child sexual exploitation.

There will also be market stalls outside the Ingleton Restaurant and HRI L&D centre on our learning from serious case reviews and domestic homicide reviews.

Safeguarding in Calderdale

The launch event for Calderdale will be at The Shay on Monday 9th October.

The aim of this event is to:

  • Highlight the start of Safeguarding Week 2017
  • Demonstrate the range of services and organisations in Calderdale that can support children and adults at risk and
  • Provide information about the services to professionals. 

Speeches will focus on the importance of all organisations ‘making links’ across Adult and Children services and the safeguarding vision for Calderdale.

Below is the outline of the launch and information to make this a successful event.
