Every year we organise the regional PACES (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills) course for Yorks and Humber trainees.

We  run the course to help doctors who have chosen medicine as the specialty they wish to pursue to prepare for their mandatory PACES examination which they will sit in few months. Our course is a ‘mock exam’ or practice run for them and is designed to test the clinical knowledge and skills of trainee doctors who hope to enter higher specialist training in a medicine specialty.

For the 4th year in a row, under the leadership of Dr Pratap Rana, Angela Hope and Sue Burton  CHFT delivered another successful course.

Dr Mansoor N Ali, said: “A huge thank-you to our acute and specialist medical consultants and registrars colleagues who have devoted their weekend to make this a successful story.

“We also thank all the patients at CHFT and from around West Yorkshire as without their help, this would not have been possible.”

"Candidates attending the course were from across the region and  they have given us positive feedback and encouraged us to prepare for next year’s course.

“We wish them all the very best for their upcoming PACES examination.”
