Yorkshire Fertility is making it easier for couples to access their services through a new "virtual" consultation.

Instead of  travelling through traffic and parking and to use less time our patients can now choose to access our clinicians over the internet.

It uses a Cisco Jabber system which is a highly secure, clear and reliable communication. The appointment is triggered by email. We send a link and once this is clicked the patient is taken through to their consultation.

Sister, Helen Marvell, said: "We are pushing the boundaries of communication and revolutionising the way we run clinics.  We are excited to be the first area in the trust to use Virtual Patient Consultations (VPC).   It means our  patients will spend less time travelling to appointments and will relieve the stress around getting time off work or away from family.  We’re really pleased to be the ambassadors of VPC for CHFT and look forward to sharing our progress with colleagues."

Yorkshire Fertility was borne out of our assisted conception unit at CRH and now offers care to couples across West Yorkshire as well as in Halifax and Huddersfield.
